ARTIST BIO:
Kiwon Hong is a visual artist living and working in Korea. Over the past 2 years, he has been collaborating with Research Scientists at Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources and the Korea Polar Research Institute. He is interested in exploring the intersections between science and the environment. The question he is pursuing is: “From what perspective does science view our world and environment?” To illustrate these ideas and inspiration, Hong mainly engages with kinetic installation and video that explore the relationship between movement, body, and space.
