ARTIST BIO:
Tamara Arroyo, b.1972, has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. Her work speaks to us through different formalizations, identity, social relationships and how our immediate environment influences us. In her latest projects, the city and the public space, appear as a privileged setting for everyday life, with its hallmarks and creative potential, sometimes resorting to the image of places, which are part of her personal memory.
Tamara Arroyo recently exhibited her project A Fatal Discontent of Place at the NF NIEVES FERNANDEZ Gallery. Madrid. She has been part of The City and Invention at Intermediae -Matadero and in Ciudad Surat CA2M, among others. She has received art production grants such as: VEGAP 2020 Proposals, Ministry of Culture, as well as theProduction scholarship of the Community of Madrid. Her work has been displayed at ZONA MACO, Mexico City, and in group shows such as: A history of recent Art (1960-2020), DKV collection and Juan March Foundation, at the Cuenca Museum. In Dialecto CA2M, Museum of Contemporary Art Dos de Mayo, Móstoles, Madrid. In Ya no baila la luz en mi sonrisa, Chapter II, Ana Mas Gallery, Barcelona, as well as in The Shortest Night, Aural Madrid and Alicante Gallery and Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art MACA.
